Brief: Create a Dynamic branding system for Sweet Cottage Cafe.
Concept: Sweet Cottage started as just a local market vendor for Thursday night markets and then have grown to a small cafe in Chico CA, but lack any branding for their products. My solution was inspired by several of their main products (pies and teas) as well as the interior design of the store which was heavily influenced by a rustic farmhouse, all in a dynamic image which changes depending on the product. Unfortunately, the store front is now closed but the mobile cart is still open.

Hangtag for Winterial Snowshoes that are attached to the shoes and showcase the specific functions and features of each model. I wrote the copy and created the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator.
For the Driftsun SUP Pump I was tasked with creating the designs for this product. This included packaging, product shots, layout, SUP PUMP logo, copy, and the illustrations on the box.
My class was extremely lucky to work with poet Viola Wineberg to create a chap book of her poems one of which would be made in a limited run. For my interpretation of the book, I created a square book because due to the length of several of the poems simply doing a normal rectangular book it would force me to disturb the poem structure while still maintaining the concept of the chap book to be small cheap and easy to produce. I also went with a red cover paper to make the make the book more eye catching than most if it was just sitting out on a table.

The style is made to fit the theme of the music of synth-wave and the style called "Outrun" which has solid foundation in 80s trends and graphics, from neon to sharp typefaces, to dark and gritty cityscapes,
If a single color could be assigned to represent synth-wave/outrun, it would be magenta. It plays a prominent role as either the primary or accent color of most synth-wave album covers and artworks, alongside other neon colors, most often variations of teal and cobalt blue.
In addition to a distinct color palette, synth-wave artists commonly use 80s science fiction artworks as inspiration, such as B-movie posters, commercials, VHS covers, and the crude computer generated graphics of the time.

Brief: Redevelop the image of Dance Chico to represent the shows of this year's performances
Concept: 2016’s Dance Chico image features an updated design and photograph from one of the current years performances (ODC). The main image was used in ads in various newspapers, social media, website ads, and 11 billboards over the course of the year. We ended up selling out almost all of the shows for the series now that it is an established event in Chico area.
At Chico Performances i was tasked with developing all of the marketing materials, such as ads for local newspapers, digital ads for local establishments, photo retouching and editing, event programs, Posters, and maintaining our Facebook page.
Brief: Create an iconic image to represent the first annual Dance Chico week event series.
Concept: The design we created for our first Dance Chico week. This had a bit of a challenge to me mainly because it had not previously existed so there was no idea of what the event would be. The main image we used was provided by Amy Seiwert’s imagery (the main event of the week). Our image was used all over the greater Chico area in the form of ads in various newspapers, social media, website ads, 11 billboards, and one 12’ by 18’ banner in Downtown Chico.
